Air transport is, without doubt, the fastest transport alternative compared to ocean, road, or rail transport. Because of its speed, air freight is especially effective for shipping goods over longer distances. Air Transport is probably a good option if you’re on a time crunch to ship freight to other countries. It is the most reliable and safe.

By Sea Shipping

Large ocean vessels can move freight from country to country. In general, if your order is relatively large or heavy, and the requirements for transportation time are not high, it is recommended that you choose the sea transportation. This is the preferred method of shipping large amounts of freight.

Train Shipping

Rail has lower fuel costs compared to road transport, especially when shipping a high volume of freight. Rail also has fewer costs associated with drivers and typically has better costs for drop trailer programs. Shipping via train is more environmentally friendly. Trains burn less fuel per ton-mile than trucks.

FCL

This FCL method is recommended if your order quantity is close to the standard. Shipping FCL will be cheaper than LCL. FCLs are packed into a single container, which remains sealed until it reaches their destination (unless intercepted by customs). This means there is very little chance of damage in transit. This method is best for fragile loads.

LCL

LCL only need you to pay for the space you use, LCL service can even show a reduction over under-utilized FCL shipments. By using shipments in transit as “inventory in transit,” LCL shipping can even help lower warehousing and inventory costs, which in turn can help reduce your tariff spend per shipment.

Door To Door

Door-to-Door sounds great at first, as the shipment is brought to where he wants it. But you should be precise in phrasing the modalities of the shipment. Unlike DDP or DAP, D2D is not part of the Incoterms, the international trade terms of the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce). The shipping method Door-to-Door does not entail the question of who has to pay for customs in international transport.
